F’er’s and Friends

Watercolor on handmade paper

2010-2011

5” x 7”

These images are inspired by poetry, signage, and form itself.  They are improvised and personal. Words and letters are only part of the story. Absence, presence, and the groupings that comprise the total collection of images all inform what these are. These are felt as much as read. Meaning is not fixed in the shapes.  Words travel from mind to mind; the familiar is laminated to the unfamiliar, and language in all its forms, is continually reinvented.
